Privacy Policy
Games4SomeGolf.com (“the Service,” “we,” “us”) is published and operated by Regana LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect as little as possible, your scorecards stay on your device unless you use live score sharing, and we never sell your information.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account or sign in (including with Google), our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this to identify your account and manage your subscription status.
Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes your payment details — we never see or store your full payment card information. We receive only your subscription status (for example, active, trialing, or canceled).
Newsletter signups. If you sign up for updates or early access, we collect the email address (and optionally the name) you provide.
Game data. Player names and scores you enter while playing are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) on your own device. Clearing your browser data, or using the delete/start-new-game options in the app, removes it.
Live score sharing & saved scorecards. When you score a game with live sharing available, the player names and scores for that round are also sent to and stored on our servers so that anyone with the round's share link can watch the score in real time, and so the finished round can appear under "Past Games" if you are signed in. Share links are not listed publicly, but anyone who has a link can view that round's names and scores.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To process subscriptions, free trials, and billing through Paddle.
- To send you updates you've asked for, such as the newsletter.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Service. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Clerk — account creation, sign-in, and session management.
- Paddle — subscription billing and payment processing, as merchant of record.
- Google — optional Google sign-in, and web fonts served by Google Fonts.
These providers process your information under their own privacy policies.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies and similar technologies only to keep you signed in and to remember the state of your games on your device. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Data Retention
Account information is kept for as long as your account exists. Game data stays on your device until you delete it; rounds saved through live score sharing are kept on our servers so your completed scorecards remain available, and you can ask us to remove them. Newsletter signups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Your Choices & Rights
- You can view and update your account details, or delete your account, from the Account panel in the app.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Account → Manage Subscription.
- You can delete locally stored game data using the in-app delete options or by clearing your browser storage.
- You can contact us to request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers and industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we keep the amount of personal data we handle to a minimum.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
